Celtic identify £20m target as top player wants to leave Celtic Park

Celtic want to replace former Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart with 25 year old Republic of Ireland goalkeeper.

Joe Hart has confirmed he will retire at the end of this season.

36 year old English goalkeeper joined Scottish champion Celtic during the summer of 2021 after leaving English Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur, where he never played a single game during the 2020–21 season. After joining Celtic, Joe Hart enjoyed a highly successful spell at Celtic Park. Joe Hart has already won two Premiership titles and is in a race to win the third one this season. He has also won two League Cups and a Scottish Cup during his time with the Glasgow giant.

Recently, Joe Hart has confirmed this will be his final season as a player at Celtic Football Club, and he will retire at the end of this season, which led current manager Brendan Rodgers to make a major decision regarding Hart’s replacement at Celtic. Thanks to his links with his former club, English Premier League side Liverpool, as the former Liverpool manager has been linked with Caoimhin Kelleher, who plays for the Reds and is now a Celtic target.

Joe Hart has played 266 games for Manchester City, and since joining Celtic, he has recently played his 100th game for the club.

Celtic and Brendan Rodgers highly-rated 25 year old keeper Caoimhin Kelleher, who has capped 11 times for the Republic of Ireland international and a close source to us, believes a move to Celtic Park would work for both clubs and also for the highly-rated keeper.
