West Brom Must Sign 27 Y/O PL Striker Who is Ready to Move

Although West Brom is still unknown of the division they will play in come transfer deadline time, they will have preparations for the summer.

As they have for the majority of the season, West Brom is presently ranked fifth in the Championship table. Many would pick them to maintain their play-off position because they are five points clear of Hull City, who are ranked seventh.

Naturally, Carlos Corberan and company still prioritize the promotion battle. Nevertheless, in order to facilitate effective business operations, individuals working behind the scenes will need to keep a watch on summertime recruitment plans, with possible targets identified well in advance.

This season, Corberan has struggled to manage the striker issue. Daryl Dike, Josh Maja, and Brandon Thomas-Asante have all missed extended periods of time due to injury.

Callum Marshall is only on loan, therefore it makes sense to look for a different striker this summer. Oli McBurnie of Sheffield United is a man they should be keeping an eye on, according to our recent sources.

Ready to make a move? Should West Brom make a move?

This season, McBurnie has fluctuated in and out of the Sheffield United lineup because to suspensions and injuries. He is typically played when he is available, yet he still ends up leaving before the season is about to end.

As reported by writer Alan Nixon on his Patreon, the 27-year-old’s contract is about to end, and he is expected to leave.

It implies that he will be free to sign with any team, which should notify several Championship teams. They should include West Brom in an effort to strengthen their attacking lineup.

At Sheffield United, McBurnie hasn’t had an easy time. Despite not being able to continue as planned following a huge breakthrough with Swansea City, he has 91 Premier League outings under his belt and has achieved 27 goals in 154 games. For the striker, returning to the Championship, where he has previously found goal-scoring form, would be the best option.

He establishes good play connections and is a physical presence at the top of the pitch. He often brings other attackers into the game before entering the box to get into scoring positions.

He might be a terrific addition for Corberan as a free agent in the future. In addition to providing much-needed depth to his West Brom roster, the signing of the free agent would be minimal risk and cheap expense for the team.
